Katalyst India is an award-winning NGO dedicated to the economic and social empowerment of women. Established in 2007, Katalyst was founded with the mission to empower young women through STEM education, preparing them for leadership roles and contributing to a broader talent pool to help bridge the gender divide. Katalyst accomplishes this mission through a unique blend of development interventions over four years, including a 600-hour proprietary and scientifically researched curriculum, one-to-one mentorship, access to cutting-edge technology, support with internships, and exposure to world-class industry and corporate interactions.
Beginning with just 10 young women, Katalyst has expanded to operate chapters in Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Delhi, and Hyderabad, impacting the lives of over 2,800 girls, with 1,500 currently enrolled in the program. Katalyst alumni now hold senior positions in prestigious multinational corporations, leading Indian companies, the Civil and Administrative Services, and are pursuing further education both in India and abroad.
